- Certanza is the controller of the personal data described here.
- We use your data to run your scan and report, take payment and keep the service safe.
- We never sell your data, and analytics cookies are only set with your consent.
- You can access, correct, delete or move your data, or object, at any time.
This notice adds to our privacy policy, which explains in full what we collect and how long we keep it.
Who the controller is
Certanza96 Victoria RoadFormbyMerseysideL37 1LPUnited Kingdomsupport@certanza.appOur lawful bases
- Contract: to run the scans you ask for, deliver your free results and full report, process your payment, provide rescans and appeal letters, and run your account or Stay Approved checks.
- Legitimate interests: to prevent abuse and fraud (for example, daily free-scan limits by IP address), keep the service secure, count anonymous visits, and improve our checks. We weigh these interests against your rights, and you can object at any time.
- Consent: for Google Analytics cookies. You choose in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice any time in Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
- Legal obligation: to keep payment and accounting records for as long as tax law requires.
Your rights under the GDPR
- Access: ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification: ask us to correct data that's wrong or incomplete.
- Erasure: ask us to delete your data.
- Restriction: ask us to limit how we use your data.
- Portability: ask for your data in a common, machine-readable format.
- Objection: object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent: change your analytics cookie choice at any time, without affecting anything done before.
To use any of these rights, email support@certanza.app. We'll reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm the email address you used with Certanza, so we only give data to the right person.
International transfers
Some of our service providers (listed in our privacy policy) are based outside the UK and EU, including in the United States. Where data is transferred, it's protected by standard contractual clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or another lawful safeguard.
Automated checks
Our scan is automated: it reads public pages of the website you submit and reports what it finds. It doesn't make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you, and Google makes its own decisions about your account.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first at support@certanza.app. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) in the UK, or to the data protection authority where you live or work in the EU.
